Cross Keys - Central Bedfordshire

My experience at this pub for dinner was interesting, as we found ourselves seated right in front of the fireplace. We had to duck to get in and out of our seats. The food was average, typical bar fare. The waitress was friendly, but overall, we would not choose to return.

My family had a fantastic evening at The Keys. The restaurant was quite full for a Thursday, with patrons in a festive Christmas mood. We were well taken care of by the excellent Bar Manager Angie, who helped to create a welcoming and warm atmosphere. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a cozy atmosphere, great company, good conversation, and friendly people. The service was excellent, and they offered a great selection of real ales, wine, and delicious food. Many thanks to Dann Pubs for a wonderful experience!

I had a wonderful experience at this charming old pub with fairy lights, candles, and roses on the table. The steaks and chunky chips topped with a creamy peppercorn sauce were perfectly cooked and reasonably priced. Our dog enjoyed the visit as well, and the staff were very friendly. They have a wide selection of gins, a few guest ales, and stunning views outside with red kites flying overhead. I would definitely go back and highly recommend this place.

Looking for Sunday lunch to break the journey and came across this pub. Very welcoming limited menu but terrific food home cooked with proper vegetables. Wine choice limited but what we had was excellent so no problem. Wonderful lamb shank and all at a reasonable price . Will go again if in the area

We had a very pleasant lunch at this pub today. I had the special deal…three courses for £9.95 which was great value and my husband had The pie of the day which was beef and ale with mash and seasonal vegetables. The pie was tasty and full of meat and much enjoyed. Service was good and the waitress very friendly and chatty. We were given a table by the radiator and window which had a good outlook and was warm!
