Cafe 2 Locals - Cesis

After reading the first review it seemed like a good place to find some vegan food, but the waitress to ask about vegan options, the answer was good, we have pommes that I appreciate. After mentioning that I found something online, we have 2 options potato pancakes with jam and salad, and avocado and beet carpaccio. These were really pretty tasty, but a shame it was a fight to reach them as options. Also ordered some pages of frits and onion rings, but there was a problem with delivery for the onion rings and these were canceled. Also no vegan desert options, they have no sorbet. It's a nice restaurant, but not for vegans.

This is one of the few places that were open late in Cesis, and we were happy to find that they have good food for us! There is an English menu and English-speaking staff that seems to be familiar with what is considered to be vegan: . The place is located at the main square and sitting is outside what makes the experience really beautiful. We took 3 dishes: Gazpacho soup (with tofu instead of mozzarella cheese, spinach-tofu salad (without mayonnaise and potato pancakes (with salad on the side). There were also wallpaper from Somersby cider that has a beautiful supplement... Portion amount was good and the food was delicious!

Terrible experience! The food was just okay, nothing special, but it tasted decent so I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. The wait staff were completely disorganized, with most of them unable to speak English or understand our orders. We had to wait 20 minutes just to place our orders and then waited another 40 minutes for our food to arrive. When it came time to pay, I handed over my money expecting to receive change promptly, but we ended up waiting an additional 15 minutes (even after calling the wait staff twice). The prices were also on the high side. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant for a pleasant dining experience.

This restaurant is located in the heart of the historic city center, offering a cozy outdoor seating area. The food and cocktails are delicious. A special shoutout to the friendly and welcoming staff members, especially Alina and the other girls, who made our family visits memorable and worth returning for.

The food at this restaurant is good, with the tartare being one of the best dishes. However, the service is lacking, with delays in receiving knives and other utensils causing our food to get cold. The service was slow even though there were not many customers. We had to frequently get up and ask for things we needed.
