El Patio - Champaign

I'm sorry to say it, but I'm 99% sure this place is permanently closed. You could always call the number to be sure. This is a family business. Like most cities of this size there are A LOT of Mexican style restaurants to choose from. El Patio is not terrifisch different from most, but after three or four visits I felt as if the food is better than many others in the city. The hand made tortillas is worth asking. Service is good and very friendly. The prices are very reasonable, similar to the others, but again I feel that the food is higher quality enough that it is worth eating there. Seats in the indoor or outdoor areas are also available. The margaritas are better than many other places too!

This family-owned restaurant offers delicious food with an authentic flavor and careful preparation. Their homemade corn tortillas are a real delight. We've visited twice so far, and each time we enjoyed the food immensely. They have excellent vegetarian options, and my friends rave about how perfectly cooked the shrimp is. If you're a college student searching for great Mexican food near campus, definitely give this place a try. The staff is friendly and the service is quick.

Great authentic Mexican food. Chips and salsa are great and they have good margaritas. Portions are huge, always enough to take something home. Love this place, best Mexican cuisine in the area.

I recently enjoyed some of the best Mexican food I've had in quite a while. I highly recommend this restaurant! The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is lovely, and the food is expertly prepared and tastes genuinely authentic. If you're craving Mexican cuisine, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

Finally great Mexican food returns to Champaign. Fantastic food at reasonable prices. You won't be disappointed .... Very friendly servers as well. This is not a fancy place but if you just want great Mexican Food this is your place
