You don't have the best presentation as I ordered a ramen and all the pretty stuff was on the floor, but if you're looking for delicious food, Sushi Rock is down your alley.
Really good sushi and Udon restaurant. The staff was exceptional and very polite. They made a special request about ingredients preparation for a busy lunchtime. Food was excellent and it was really a great value and surprise to find at U of I.
Never a bad experience here (except for the time when a group of robbers came in and began to bomb?? At a sushi place? Why? Oh, good. Sushi is medium price. Not too expensive, but not cheap if you want something non-basic. It's sushi. The Teriyaki chicken balls are also particularly good for lunch. And the wrong soup is great. If you want a dessert, the green tea ice cream mochi is good. Price idea: Drink, appetizers, two deluxe sushi reels, and a dessert is $31 plus tip. I miss this place when I go to school.
We walked in on a Friday night and were greeted right away. Ordered for takeout, got a mix of regular to specialty rolls. Received our food within 15 minutes of ordering (there was only 1 other party there). Prices were fair, and the service was quick and friendly. They offered us water even though we were waiting at the front. Food was very good! 2 rolls were labeled spicy that were only very slightly spicy, only downside.
It's good but definitely overpriced. I won't go here unless there's a good hooked deal haha. I had to katsu curry (15 bucks, yikes and it was good but not worth 15 bucks. I think it'll be a great place to eat when you have deals for the sushi- I have yet to try it tho. Ppl say they like it. The service was great though, staff was very freindly : !
