Tai Hong - Channel-Port aux Basques

The food is absolutely delicious but that's not what this review is about. This family went above and beyond for me when I was stuck in their parking lot during a blizzard. They shovelled a way out for me in the blowing snow and freezing ice in our faces and made sure I got home safely. This is a good family running this restaurant and I am glad they are a part of our community.

Was good food and experience for the price. Not many food options in port aux basques but this is a decent choice

A sweet family business, they have very good Chinese food. They cannot compare to the big city restaurants but, it my favourite choice when I go to Port aux Basques. One of my favourite dishes, yet simple is the deluxe won ton soup and for a more filling meal I would order the tai hong rice noodle.

We had takeout to eat at the hotel waiting for the ferry. Dishes are genuinely Cantonese cooking just like I have done at home. The Cantonese noodle is huge filled with large shelled shrimps, chicken, Cantonese bbq pork and lots veggies without green pepper which I specified. The amount of sauce was just right and tasty. The honey garlic ribs are tender, delicious without the sticky sauce like the ones from other Chinese restaurants. We would have go back but we had enough of Newfoundland. Highly recommended.
