Talullas - Chapel Hill

This is the best Turkish restaurant I’ve ever been to. It may actually be my favorite restaurant period. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is incredible, and it’s a family run restaurant. I can’t recommend it highly enough

This was my first experience trying Turkish cuisine, so I don't feel qualified to judge. However, I can describe what I ate: Lamb Shibob served with red cabbage, vinegrett dressing, fresh tomatoes, and couscous. The meal also included freshly baked bread and dipping sauce, which was delicious. I was surprised not to see lamb skewers, belly dancers, guitars, or roaming minstrels, but I enjoyed the different textures and mild flavors of the food. The service was excellent, with attentive servers who fulfilled all our requests. I would definitely consider returning to this restaurant.

I often find myself heading to Talullas for dinner. I am never disappointed. I realized tonight that not only does the great food draws me here (and I do like good food) but it is also the sense of community I get while I am there. Since I usually dine alone I sit at the bar and the service is great. But I spend time looking around at the tables and see how others are so enjoying themselves. As the world is changing finding that since of community is so hard to find. Then you add in the absolutely delicious and authentic food and excellent service. The choice to come here is easy.
