Bidra med feedbackThe dining experience was enjoyable, with generous portions and clearly marked vegan and vegetarian options. The server was knowledgeable about vegan dishes. There were extensive COVID precautions in place, with online ordering and payment, as well as outdoor seating only.
I recently tried this restaurant on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The appalm, a pancake-like dish made with fermented rice and coconut milk, was delicious. I also ordered the herbal curry to go with it, which was very authentic and reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning to this place.
I went to Vimala's on a rainy summer Tuesday night and was surprised by how crowded it was. We ordered at the counter and found our own seats. The space was cozy, but not overly cramped. We enjoyed shrimp malabar with brown rice, a coconut and rice pancake with vegetable curry, and a refreshing mango iced tea.
I love this restaurant. Lost of vegetarian and vegan options, all are clearly marked on the menu. I have sampled all vegan items on the menu, and they were all delicious. I recommend the Masala Dosa if you don't feel like the Indian stew and rice variety, though everything is great. The staff is really nice. This place is a little expensive though.
My omnivore friends love this place and so do most of the reviewers here. So sorry, but my experience was bad. The restaurant looked dingy, the service was slow and rude. And they serve goat among other animals which made me even sadder. I was already apprehensive about trying my food at that point, so there's no wonder I did not like it at all. Glad others have had good experiences here, but you couldn't pay me to go back.
