The Mediterranean Cafe - Charles Town

I would have never, in 1000 years, ever thought that such good food would come out of this spot! What an amazing find we stumbled upon after rafting in Harper's Ferry! This was seriously an amazing meal and the reviews aren't lying!! I am here to say, if you love Lebanese/Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food you've GOT TO STOP AND TRY THIS FOOD! What an eclectic restaurant! Spanish, Lebanese, Persian, Spanish, Greek, etc all under on roof in a super duper small town in WV! I loved the pita bread that was put on the table to nosh on. The server was very focused and friendly, as well as attentive. The kebabs I ordered were perfectly cooked and very flavorful. I was with a rather large group and every single person loved their meal. The ambiance was eclectic and the bathroom design made us all laugh a bit when we came out. The price point is super affordable and on the low side IMO.

Was so pleased to have found this Diamond in the rough mediterranean steakhouse in Charlestown WV via YELP. The appetizers were literally out of this world and main dishes were absolutely authentic Mediterranean Italian cuisine . My soup appetizer was phenomenal and the 8 ounce filet mignon was very impressive .

I have never given a five star review, but this was one of the best meals I've ever had in my 33 years of living. This is one of the top five meals I've had in my life and it was such good, quality foods for a good price. Instead of a break basket they had pita with homemade hummus and shirazi salad. Amazing!!! I forgot to take a pic but it's delish! I ordered the two kebabs with rice and shirazi salad. To say it was amazing was an understatement and the sucky part is I was here on a month long work trip from California so I can't even have this after I leave!! I really would like their shirazi salad recipe so I can recreate it at home. The steak kebabs were tender, juicy and flavorful pieces of meat, no fat. Grilled to perfection! The vegetable skewer came with mushrooms, zucchini, tomatoes, peppers and onions, also AMAZING! Never had grilled tomatoes before and they were soooo good. The rice was good, but it's just a basic rice, nothing too crazy but I love white rice so basic and nothing fancy tastes great to me if that makes sense! It doesn't have any added veggies or sauces just rice! Soo good! The shirazi salad is my second favorite to the meat and veggies, it had cucumber tomato and onion with spices and a tangy olive oil and vinegar dressing. I could eat a gallon of this. Their veggies they used were perfectly ripe and cut in tiny pieces that all matched. Their attention to detail, their quality of food, the service it was truly just an amazing experience all together and I will be so sad when I leave in a week. The ambience is a little different but it smelled delightful, and found out it's a local candle company Shenandoah Candle Company, the McIntosh apple scent. The service was okay, noting great nothing bad. They were attentive and did their and friendly. Like I said it wasn't one of those crazy great experiences but also not bad whatsoever. I love this place and hope it never shuts down!!! Please still be open come fall when I come back on vacation if the owner is reading this please share your shirazi recipe with me!

Me and some friends were craving some greek food so we stopped at Alfredos. The place was small but the food was delicious!! Very flavorful and they had so many options from Mediterranean to Italian and it was alll great! Service wasnt the best but they might be understaffed. Seemed they were trying their best but a couple things were forgotten and good took an hour to arrive.

We were in Charles Town and decided to give this restaurant a shot. We were seated quickly (the place was pretty empty). Our server had no clue about the beer menu when I decide came back said the beer wasn't cold. We both decided on the Ghormeh Sabzi. Well, it was a partial disappointment It was served cold and really looked awful. One, good point is it tasted really good. The room and seating was typical restaurant decor. Our server was ok, but dressed terribly. The prices were not bad. They do offer a 10% discount for cash. Most likely we will not return.
