Sippin’ Santa Charleston

We arrived for our Sippin' Santa reservation only to find a note on the door saying they were closed due to a lack of heat. We didn't receive any call or email notifying us beforehand, which meant we couldn't make alternative plans. It was quite disappointing.

At Stale-Bier, the staff appeared exhausted and uninterested. We were seated at a table in the back for five, which consisted of two rickety tables pushed together. It was so cold that we had to keep our coats on. The food was served on paper plates and was cold, and the drinks from the seasonal menu were lackluster. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I loved the concept and the decor was fantastic. My family of nine visited for brunch, and I would definitely recommend skipping the food. The atmosphere and the signature drinks made the experience well worth it!

The decorations were amazing. The food was not. We went for brunch, and it was all microwaved food. No bacon, no hot chocolate. The drinks were in cute cups but were way too strong for brunch and not a good match for the food which was mostly tasteless and served on flimsy paper plates. My daughter chose the only vegetarian option of a greek yogurt parfait, and it came out spoiled. The waitress tried to convince me that it was supposed to taste that way as if I don't know what greek yogurt is supposed to taste like. Then she had the nerve to keep it on the bill even though my daughter had barely had one bite of it. Don't waste your time or money. Santa Clause was really nice and worth a picture or two.
