Bidra med feedbackWith the family for baked, coffee and tee stopped. I had the charleston mix tee and it was delicious. it tasted as if it had bergamot and vanilla notes. baked and coffee were also very good. sitting was very limited, although if they could fist on their own they could probably observe a single sitting on the window and people. we sat very nice in their outside seating area.
Super sweet little coffee shop by king street. croissants were so buttery and flakey. amazing! the ambiente des shops was also cozy and trendy. great experience
I love to visit coffee shops and try new caffes; and I am especially drawn to those with beautiful sitting places in the open. I had been looking for the rise when I recently moved to charleston and was so happy that I did it! I tried a special-discreet and got some work on my computer; all surrounded by nature and away in a little iron! I will stop there when I am in the city!
Really great pastry selection, however, the staff seemed to be overworked. I know staffing issues are happening everywhere but based on what I saw the barista was working with only 1 group head. As a barista myself I know that's simply not adequate to keep up with a busy Saturday morning rush. The other barista seemed to be learning on the job and on the brink of a meltdown and I'm not bashing them I would've been in the same position. I just hope the staff is taken care of paid living wage considering the situation they were working in. I removed a star because management seemed to have failed their staff a little the morning I visited.
Coffee was ok but we wasted a lot of money on not great breakfast items. They couldn't identify the cookie option they had that day, so we guessed macadamia nut but ended up with a stale, lemon type cookie that we ended up tossing. An ok option for coffee if nearby, but skip the food.
