City Barbeque - Charlotte

Here for the first time- decided to go here because didn’t want to have a long wait and it’s close to home. Was much better than expected! Staff was super friendly and helpful with answering our questions. Very reasonable prices, great food! Had brisket, pulled pork, cornbread, Mac n cheese, baked beans and pickles- every single thing was very good! Looking forward to going again!

I'm a Dasher and when I came to pick up a delivery, I felt obligated to try their food!!!! Because of the good smell, the atmosphere and the nice welcoming of the staff.The day right after we tried with my husband, and it's simply delicious. The ribs are from other world. Super yummy ? ?

This evening I had a wedding taste testing with Brittany. We viewed a slide show of how the ceremony would be set up and the different decoration options. She answered several of my questions and even reviewed the package pricing several times throughout the evening.We were served with many sides and several meat options. The best was the Mac and Cheese and the Bone in Chicken, very moist!The service was excellent and we left full. The packages were reasonably priced and that made me extremely happy! Even adding dessert was reasonable priced!I am beyond impressed with the food. I wish I left with Mac and cheese ??Side note- I recommend the vinegar based dressing on the pulled pork OR the pulled chicken. 100/100.

This has happened every time I have visited this place recently. The food is awesome and plentiful and the atmosphere is great but every time I order the fries they are either cold, old, and have no taste. I ordered these when I first started going there years ago and they were great..hot , seasoned to perfection and huge..now they're just giblets..that's just my observation. Loved everything else though especially the newer items on the menu. Oh yeah and the Peach Cobbler is always great.

The best part of this trip is that all food came out hot, not luke warm like most barbecue joints. We tried the judges sampler, which includes chicken (choice of white or dark meat), ribs, brisket, pulled pork, two sides, and two pieces of cornbread. We added a basket of hush puppies and could have gone with a side as the basket is reallyfamily size..Service was friendly and restaurant clean with plenty of seating area.The only drawback is that they serve Pepsi products, but, at least, this means that Dr. Pepper is available as an alternative.
