Bidra med feedbackOMD! I have been plant based for over 8+ years, and this food was so good I could taste the love in it. I had the large Soul Plate: the country fried chicken, bourbon bake ribs, yams, potato salad, and collard greens. I am blown away by the Chef's work. I don't even live on this side of town, and I plan on making this a frequent stop (forget the gas prices). The atmosphere is impeccable, and the food is absolutely unforgettable!!
The food was fantastic! The restaurant itself is beautiful. I wish they would serve both orders for couples at the same time, as this happened to us and another couple. A bit more training for the waitstaff would also help. Other than that, this place is a wonderful spot for vegan soul food!
I would easily give this restaurant a 5 out of 5. The service is consistently friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious! If you're in search of a more upscale vegan dining option, this is definitely worth a visit. While it is on the pricier side, I hope that many establishments recognize that quality food doesn't always have to come with a hefty price tag. I understand I'm paying for someone else's culinary skills, but some items feel quite expensive.
The drumsticks were crispy and peppery, with the breading and the meat alternative perfectly spiced. The collard greens were served in a generous portion in a bowl that kept them nice and hot; I couldn't help but slurp up all the flavorful juices. The mac and cheese was wonderfully creamy and satisfying. I had intended to take my leftovers home, but I ended up finishing everything! The service was kind, and the food was delicious and served hot. As a bonus, it looks like they also host events, fundraisers, and festivals. VelTree is not only a fantastic restaurant but also an active part of the community.
I’ve been dying to try Veltree for about 3 years now. Thank goodness for the new location in Ballantyne. We were able to experience their first time brunch menu for grand opening weekend. The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Yes to the Shrimp and Grits. Yes to the breakfast platter. Yes to the kale ginger lemonaid. Yes to the red velvet waffle. Absolutely love the vibes being played and the layout of the dining area.
