San Marcos Mexican - Chatham

Ordered tbone steak with shrimp! Big, tender and delicious! Cannot, say anything bad about the dining experience! Never had a steak at a Mexican restaurant, I will be back!Was hard to leave, I was to full!

Love San Marcos!! Has been a favorite stop on our way to Smith Mountain Lake for years! The food is consistently excellent, the service is great, the atmosphere is cute and the beer is always cold ; If you want delicious Mexican food you won't go wrong!

Hit this on the ride up to DC, and that burrito fundito blew my socks off!!! Great spicy salsa too (if you ask! , kids menu was great, this was a great spot for a quick lunch up the road!!

San Marcos in Chatham VA, is a pretty good place to get mexican food. My son really likes their Chimichanga 's, so I treated him to lunch today while in the area. Their salsa is pretty standard fare, it is tasty and fairly mild. It is a puree with no veggies. I do like the fact that each person gets their own small bowl of salsa, no dealing with double dippers here. They do offer a lunch menu, which I ordered off of, I chose the 1/2 Chimi plate that comes with one chimichanga filled with chicken or hamburger, and your choice of rice or beans. My son ordered the Shredded chicken chimi 's off the regular menu which included 2 Chimi 's, and your choice of rice or beans. The portions are a little on the small side. The atmosphere is cute, not over the top, but decent, and inviting. The service is good, and your food arrives quickly. Our total luncheon bill for 2 plates, and 2 diet soda 's was $33.98 before tip.

This was my 1st time there in years I have to say it's much better than the Danville location. The food is fresher tastier the service was 10Xs better. Can't remember my waitress' name, but she was very attentive extended excellent customer service!!
