Taconic Diner - Chatham

We thought here was a break from the long journey from NYC to Lake George and back when we returned. very cozy, welcome. Staff and waiters make sure you get what you need. I liked the ambience of the shop. The food we ordered was good.

This place embodies Diner in the right way. Breakfast is simple, but fresh. Burgers and sandwiches are a notch above what you expect. Fries always come hot and crispy. Service is always friendly, but can be a bit slow when there is a lot (which is not often).

Directly at the Taconic Parkway in NY, this is an old-fashioned diner that satisfies. I had a cup of New England Chowder with many mussels and taste plus half a BLT on rye toast and it hit the spot. When I went to Albany, I didn't want a real meal and this combo really hit the place. The service was a bit slow, although there was no amount, but the staff was pleasant and helpful. A good stop for a quick bite.

Clean and bright, with excellent friendly service. Meals delivered quickly, everyone was great! Fries are delicious and delicious. Great experience and a welcome break from the road. Thank you.

Great diner on the Taconic Parkway! A friend of mine got stranded here (hit a deer) and the folls at the diner took great care of him until I could get there and pick him up... and then they fed us a great dinner, topped off with absolutely delicious blueberry and strawberry rhubarb pies. I'd recommend just stopping by to grab a bite to eat and skip the hitting a deer part I'm sure they will serve you you with the same friendliness and promptness!
