Tasty Lunch - Chatham

A quick burger fix was satisfied here at the Tasty Lunch. Great lunch specials mean a very affordable lunch when downtown. Just steps away from the Retro Suites where I was staying. Home fries were a nice touch.

When I first walked in I noticed a nice clean restaraunt. Nowq for the disappointing part.When I got there there was 2 other tables with people eating which meant I was the only customer who had to order. I ordered breakfast and coffee. After 15 minutes my food still was not ready. At this point I paid for my coffee and left hungry. I have been a cook for over 40 years so maybe you can understand the disappointment

Tasty Lunch is a nice central downtown Chatham restaurant. The 50's diner atmosphere is a blast to the past, in a good way. The food was okay for the price. My husband and I happened to find our way there when we had a rare moment to ourselves. It was a great lunch date spot. I liked the hashed potatoes as a nice break from french fries like most restaurants serve these days. I don't recommend the milkshake though, mine was barely cold and runny. The place was mostly empty so the the service was fast. Our waitress was friendly. I plan on bringing my whole family in as a fun lunchtime stop.

To be honest, I wasn't overly impressed. Overall atmosphere was kinda dingy. Food tasted like something you could make yourself at home. Price seemed high for what you actually got. Not planning on returning.

Wishes they had a more expansive menu and great food though....lori and staff are awesome and friendly
