Bidra med feedbackThis is a good café with a good menu and a variety of cakes available. The coffee is good and the food is well presented.
We had coffee and a light snack here. The service is good, good food servings and the coffee is good. The negative is that the tables are small, so if you are on your own that is good, but each more than 1 person the tables do not have enough space to have 2 large plates, a cunning menu and other spices on the table at once.
We go to this café most Saturday mornings after a workout at our Fitness First Gym. They only use fresh, organic products and it is clean and cheerful. The staff have great personalities and remember our little touches, like my wife's preference for soy rather than cow's milk. Today, my wife ate two poached eggs on a slice of dark rye and a slice of sourdough bread with a side order of avocado and I ate scrambled eggs on sourdough with a side order of spinach. We washed it down with Chai Brew served in Chinese steel pots and without asking, the shop owner included the honey inside the pot, which is our usual preference and gave my wife soy milk and me, cow's milk.We really enjoy going there, and despite visiting other cafe's in the area, we spend most of our Saturday brunches at 3 Beans in Miller Street, North Sydney. Definitely worth a visit for a hearty breakfast and they can usually prepare most items you may want.
I was visiting Sydney on business and staying in a nearby hotel that charged over AUD30 for a buffet breakfast - far too much for a coffe and a poached egg slowly stewing in a bain marie! A quick search of the numerous cafes nearby led me to Three Beans with its promise of eggs from happy chooks and good coffee. I have my own backyard chooks at home so know a good goog when I see it! Three Beans' poached my eggs perfectly on two consecutive mornings, and provided tasty trimmings by way of grilled tomato, sautéed mushrooms and avocado. A delicious and just right double espresso topped it off. I was a happy chappy and spent about AUD15. This is the right price. Coming back for the second time was a no-brainer. Next time I need to stay in North Sydney I'll make sure I'm staying within a quick hike of Three Beans so I start my day well.
I've found Three Beans coffees somewhat disappointing (given their price and goals) in most stores I have tried.
