Old Gilman Grill - Chattanooga

The restaurant was excellent. I visited twice during the Motorcar Festival in Chattanooga and was impressed by the ambiance and exceptional customer service. Every dish we ordered was delicious, especially the ravioli which was the best I've ever had. The bacon wrapped dates were a pleasant surprise and my husband loved the French dip, their best seller. I can't wait to return. Well done, guys!

Our overall experience at the restaurant was great and we would definitely consider coming back. However, I am deducting one star because the hangar steak we ordered was undercooked with a purplish color in the middle, the Caesar salad dressing was watered down due to wet lettuce, and the butternut squash ravioli was overly drenched in cream sauce without it being mentioned in the description. Additionally, the braised lamb dish could use a side of mashed potatoes or something to balance out the richness, as one piece of toast was not sufficient. Despite these issues, the restaurant promptly addressed any complaints we had and the French dip sandwich was exceptional, possibly one of the best I have had recently. The Gilman salad was also delicious, the drinks were excellent, and the service was spot on. The restaurant has a trendy atmosphere and I would recommend trying it out if you are in the area.

My experience at Old Gilman Grill on Valentine's Day was not as good as I had heard. The hanger steak with fries was tasty but too salty, and the chocolate mousse dessert was just average. Unfortunately, the service was not great, as the servers seemed to be in a rush to turnover tables. We were asked for our drink order as soon as we sat down and received the dessert menu halfway through our main meal, making us feel rushed throughout the meal.

Elsa was amazing. Very sweet and attentive! I enjoyed the atmosphere and my meal was great! Had salmon dip app. and steak salad. Large drink selection ? the tropical cowboy definitely is delicious white wine dr Herman) was so refreshing and paired well with steak salad. Best meal I?ve had in Chattanooga and best service. 5 star meal !!!

While on a spur of the moment trip, decided to eat here on a holiday weekend. They normally took reservations only, but may have something at 9p. After a bit more walking we came back 10 mins early and were sat promptly. The interior is polished, clean and modern with a very upscale feel. Wanted to try the bread but were out but arriving late and without reservation I won?t make that an issue. The waitress was very attentive checking back frequently, and got the ordersand good out promptly. I ordered the filet and it was cooked beautifully rare. Also enjoyed the torte with the berry coulis. It was very busy and a holiday night so I will forgive my only complaint. Everything was salted a bit tooliberally, but over all a great meal, and for what you are recieving priced well.
