Bidra med feedbackWe had a very pleasant lunch break, which was selected from the extensive menu of hearty and sweet cripples. service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant remained well open at the traditional French 12-2 lunchtime.
Chaumard is a small and very quiet village in bourgogne, France. we had a nice gite near the lake with enough shadow to pass the day. in the evening we went to the only restaurant in the city: the creperie. reservation obligatory, also here. they have a simple card with crepes or godets. also a few non-crepe dishes. only one dame in the kitchen, such a beautiful glass house wine helps them to pass the time. the owner is also one of the waiters. there is time for a chat about the village and what to do and then the meal is served. in the rule they think of a crepe as a small dessert. here they get a complete warm meal in a pancake, so to speak. if they already have a starter f.i hot goat cheese salad, they will have really enough. after that they can have another ice dessert. that's not too small. after their petit caffe they can ask for a local eau de vie. but then you really have to go home.
You can have 3 course lunch in the region for the cost of a pancake. Over priced and small portions.
Bad quality food from processed ingredients, extremely high prices and creative billing at the end they need to check the supplement (or, in our case, triple).
Yes, this venture sells pancakes. So if you want just that, it's the place to go. Otherwise, pick another spot. The next door vieille auberge may be a bit dark and rusty, but at least it's French and can be trusted.
