For a Mall Bar Restaurant: Surprisingly good! To sum it up, Good food, chill bar atmosphere with friendly bartenders and a quirky dining area, spiced up with cheeky shirts worn by waiters and waitresses that you always want a picture of without actually wanting to ask for a picture of them. They're truly meme worthy. I'm not a drinker, but my husband enjoys IPAs and is able to find something on the menu every time we come to JA's, which is now a weekly staple for us. Burgers are tasty, but they only do them medium because they're cooked on a flat top, so if you like it any other way, just come in expecting this. That being said, they are still stellar, especially with their French fries, which are perfectly crispy and salty with a shake of a shaker. They've got a great selection of appetizers that run the gamut, from deliciously buttered garlic bread, to mountainous nachos, which are really killer, even without the added protein. They've got some poutine fries that can get you where you want to be without going over the border. Want wings? They've got them and they put on a show, giving you a table side sauce shake presentation. You can get them in a variety of sauces including Hot, Buffalo: Medium, Buffalo: Mild, Sesame Ginger Garlic, Toffee/Chipotle. Pro tip: Sesame Ginger Garlic is DELISH! I'd say their shining star of entrees is their Chicken Tenders. These are some of the best I've tasted in Buffalo. The crispy coating isn't hard to crunch, they're moist, and really great for dipping or just eating with no sauce on the side. They also can be shaken in any of their sauces that are available for the wings, despite their menu only stating Buffalo Tenders. If you're looking for a sit down place to eat while shopping, or you're in this area, that doesn't really have a lot of sit down options, Jack Astor's is definitely a place to start.

I love the garlic pan bread...with cheese! It didn't disappoint! I should have asked for more garlic butter, but it was still excellent! I only had a side salad to go with this, as it was my dinner. I live in Virginia and rarely get to Buffalo. But I always go here. I've always enjoyed anything I've gotten here in the past. I wish there were more of these in the states. Ryan was my server and was excellent. He had a great attitude, was friendly and attentive without hovering. I would ask for him if I get back anytime soon.

Great food. Inexpensive. Quality service. you get to color on the table.. how great is that!

Not sure how i feel about being made feel bad for asking for a straw. As if they didnt kill a trees worth of papers a day to cover the tables.

Amazing Food! Good prices had a awesome waitress named Kat! Very easy on the eyes! But overall I come here the menu ! Chicken wings are slamming here!!
