Hemanth Chats - Chennai

This place was a total surprise package.<br/ When we were doing the rounds in Sowcarpet checking out new places, my friend told me 'If you want great chat, let 's go to Hemant '.<br/ The first thing I saw when I walked in was the amount of butter being used to toast ONE pav, instantly I knew I 'd have a good food experience.<br/ <br/ Started with the Pani Puri, the only Pani Puri that comes even close to Gangotree for me. However, the 2nd time I visited this place, it didn 't taste as good.<br/ <br/ The Pav bhaji was pretty good. But the butter used was SO much that the pav became a little soggy. I like mine crisp. And guys, I am not exaggerating, you 'd use the same amount of butter for a week at home.<br/ <br/ The tawa pulao was my pick of the lot. Outstanding!<br/ The flavour, the smell of butter, the mix of spices and the raita made one heck of a combination.<br/ <br/ One thing though, I found the flavor and smell of garlic to be on the stronger side in both the pav bhaji and the tawa pulao. <br/ <br/ Service is quick, the food is priced reasonably and you 'd be lucky to get a table if you go during the peak hours.<br/ <br/ If you 're a chat lover and you wanna tick off all the best places in Chennai, add this to your itenerary right away.<br/ I went with hardly any expectations, and my first visit to Hemant will be something I 'll always remember!

Food: If you are north Indian, you will love food taste here. Spicy tangy tawa pulav, pav bhaji is out of the world and bonzo is also too good.<br/ <br/ Not so good in pani puri.<br/ <br/ Ambiance is not that good. Best suited for take away food.<br/ <br/ If you feel like preparing anything for dinner, just order from here. quick service and easy take away.<br/ <br/ A big YES in my opinion.

Their pav bhajis and Tawa Pulav are delicious!<br/ Generous amounts of butter in the Pulav and Pav Bhaji. That aroma is enough to go crazy! <br/ <br/ Jain varieties also available.

Superb tawa pulav , just the smell of it is so tempting.Other items are average.All foodies should definitely try the tawa pulao.Been there multiple times just for that.

Best TAWA PULAV in town!!!<br/ We made a sudden visit to this small chat shop in vepery. This was my first visit here after hearing a lot about it.We went directly for the kill Tawa Pulav. From the time it was made in the tawa, we were sure that it is going to be something we were waiting for a long time. Dont miss it if you are visiting here.<br/ <br/ Then we ordered some Vada Pav which was okayish. Cheese masala Puff something you should try. They stuff green chutney and cheese inside puff which gives a really different taste.<br/ <br/ Their grilled sandwich is also good. There is another visit pending to this place to taste other items and TAWA PULAV again.
