The Bulls Head - Cheshire East

The restaurant was pretty dull and dismal when I walked in. It was very quiet, with only a few customers at the bar. This made it easy to get served, but the staff seemed fed up and were not very friendly. The ladies' toilets were dirty and not very hygienic. The loud music was also a bit too much for the customers staying in the rooms. Overall, I wouldn't want to stay there overnight.

When you go to a restaurant you expect good friendly faces and to be greeted by someone behind the bar. No not at all, we had to wait for someone to come behind the bar, then when we had ordered we then had to ask if we were getting our drinks. We finally got them and waited for our food. I ordered jacket potato with tuna mayo and cheese, which it says the jacket potato are big... It came out and the presentation was disgusting, it looked like someone had drowned my small potato in tuna mayo gravy. I tried it, the potato was hot but for a very short time as it was literally swimming in tuna. Next my friend ordered burger and chips, and the bar staff said she could have a few onion rings on the side as the bigger burger came with them but she could not eat a big burger. But when the burger and chips and a few onion rings came out, to her surprise there was no onion rings, and like we always do we check the meat is cooked first as she's just had a new born baby, the hormones are still in her body, she will be sick at red meat, lucky she checked! It was bright red in the middle. I left mine and she hid hers in her bag as we didn't want to upset anyone, I then thought I'd put a review on the Facebook page, saying we had bad food. Little did I think a bar staff member would inbox me ask me what was wrong so I tell them and then that bar staff member call me a liar, that is no way to treat a member of the public with there honest feedback. I've lived in Congleton my whole life, and if nothing gets sorted about the food or that bar staff member I will be advising n one to eat or drink there. Bad review travel faster than good reviews, and I see a lot of people from Congleton in my job, so if highly recommend something is sorted.

Have ate here many times and every time the food has been brilliant. Great taste, great value and more importantly great portions. Strongly recommended.

I have been living here for the last 8 months . The food is of top quality. And the new landlords are the nicest people you will very meet . The weekend discos great lots of nice people.

After holding my 50 th bday party here . We partied until 12 spent lots of money nice family atmosphere .... When we came to leave my husband collected a 75cl of vodka from the car as I had received it as a gift from an old friend attending the party.We put it in tha car so as not to cause offence . OMG all of a sudden the landlord came out swearing and shouting in a most aggressive manner saying we had stolen the vodka ... We wer totally bewildered by this . Fortunately his staff got hold off him and explained to is he was very drunk . They couldn't apologise enough . We wer planning on holding our Xmas party here .. Not a chance now !!!! All I can say is what a horrible rough pub it is STAY AWAY DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR !!!!!.... Also regulars stealing our drinks while we weren't looking !!!!! . Classy place !!!!
