Bidra med feedbackThis bar is a fantastic spot with a fantastic open mic night, even if you only get to perform two songs. The live music mainly consists of tribute bands, so if that's your jam, you'll love it here. The drinks are decent, with a limited selection on tap but all the popular beers available. The courtyard is a beautiful place to relax during the summer months.
This restaurant is a unique and cozy spot. Despite its small size, it can feel a bit crowded due to its popularity. However, if you're looking for a unique night out, I highly recommend checking out their comedy night (entry is £10). I had a great time when I visited. I suggest arriving early as the lower seats near the stage tend to fill up quickly. After the show, we enjoyed some drinks in the courtyard. Overall, it was a fantastic night.
Alexander's is a well-known spot in Chester, offering a variety of entertainment from comedy nights to jazz and live music. The outdoor courtyard is a highlight during the summer months, providing a great atmosphere for enjoying live music and drinks. The comedy nights may not be for everyone, but they do attract a crowd. While Alexander's may not be a usual hangout, there is likely an event that will appeal to you. Overall, Alexander's is a valuable part of Chester's social scene.
This is a little out of the way of the main street but still in the city walls. We have been here on 2 separate occasions, both on sunny days, where we have sat in the courtyard and pretended we were somewhere abroad as it is a nice suntrap. The MAJOR downside is that the food has been very slow both times, over an hours wait for 4 sandwiches. Always seem understaffed too. The toilets are very grotty when considering and the bar isn't much better, but the outside is nice if you can be bothered to wait for food. Staff aren't particularly friendly, but location kind of makes up for it
Alexanders is a fab little bar, hosting all sorts of different events over the year. Great local bands, stand up comedy, films for the chester festival, jazz. It has a slightly studenty feel to the place, the food is reasonable and quite cheap but i would head somewhere else for dinner early. It is about £10 to get in so do your research ahead of time and check it is a gig you want to go to! we particularly like 'the loose kites ' and 'the funky doctors. '
