Honestly don’t get all the hype around this place. Wasn’t that impressed. Brought our own wine, $50 corkage fee, didn’t offer to decant it despite it being a 7 year bottle. Found it a little funny that they call themselves “traditional” Italian and don’t offer olive oil with the bread, only butter. (Cultured but nothing special) Only one slice per person or they charge you extra. Very small menu and they have two eggplant appetizers. We were given the wrong one. Was bland either way. Also ordered the Bucatini Cacio to share was OK. Again pretty bland, and not nearly enough black pepper. Bucatini itself had good texture and definitely seemed made in house and fresh though. Mains were Conchiglie and the half chicken. Pesto flavor was underwhelming. Chicken dish was tasty however, the lemon and caper sauce was great. Our server was friendly and experienced, though not the most attentive. Filled our own wine glasses a couple times. Atmosphere was pleasant enough. Really wasn’t that busy for a Friday night despite the limited reservation availability earlier in the week. Came in with high expectations being a Michelin restaurant. Both myself and partner agreed that it didn’t meet them. Would give it another try however maybe give the tasting menu a chance when it’s available?
Absolutely loved every moment of our visit. We were celebrating our 44th Wedding Anniversary and they helped us make it special. Overpriced and overrated! Service was slow, we asked for more bread and they charged us and didn't tell us. We ordered two dishes and waited over an hour to get them, spaghetti and clams dish was disappointing, clams were very chewy and the lemon in the dish was overwhelming... Will not be going back. The cocktails were great. The food, meh. We were so excited to finally have an opportunity to eat here. The al dente was far too, al dente. We spent last summer in Italy in this pasta was terrible in comparison. Clams were rubbery and overcooked and the vodka sauce was generic. The portions were not an alignment to the pricing. We were told that we could have the dinner portion of the small plate dish. But all they did was give the same portion but doubled the price. Truly just doubled the price. Never have I seen this before in all of my travels from Los Angeles to Europe. Super disappointing. Almost $300 and we went home and had snacks. Most likely would not go back.
