Bidra med feedbackHad to give this place an attempt with its rich Italian history and my love to pastries. A pound of sorted Italian cookies, some cannolis and tiramisu. It was all delicious! Only the reason I knocked a star was that the service rushed a little and how they were annoyed with us. We had a few questions about how some things tasted and the lady just didn't seem to deal with us. It was busy with her credit, so maybe she was just tired. I understand. In any case, we're back!!
Traditional Italian Bakery on the near west side. Friendly knowledgeable staff. I grabbed some assorted cookies for my office and a crusty Italian loaf for dinner. Good Stuff.
Came in for zeppole on st joseph's day....took me too long to try this place. pastries were delicious and the pizza and sandwiches looked amazing. will be going back.
Parking nearby took a little while to find midday on a weekday.Service was excellent and very friendly. The loaves of bread looked great but we did not try them. The pizza did not look good to me (but we did not try that either). We got a couple of bags of cookies and a few pastries (cannoli, sfogliatelle, a chocolate mousse thing). They were fine.Just not great. The absence of wow was felt. We don 't get to have Italian pastry often, so we were sad that there was no wow. Still spoiled from our time in New Haven and all those trips to Di Sorbos.
Had the hot Italian sub and it really wasn’t as good as I thought it’d be, or the reviews made out. Place is cute and traditional, lots of baked goods. Will likely try again and see… cannoli was good though!
