I was in Chicago for a brief visit and stumbled into this restaurant. De Michael prepared an incredible vegetarian sandwich that was truly exceptional—hands down the best I've ever had. What made the experience even better was the warmth and kindness of De Michael himself; he's a true gentleman. I highly recommend supporting this gem so that others can enjoy it as well!

I popped in to grab a quick meal and found myself unsure of what to order. A friendly staff member welcomed me at the door and offered to create something special. He crafted one of the most delicious sandwiches I've had in a long time. Everything about it was perfect! With great service and a local business that truly deserves our support, I highly recommend this place!

This restaurant is a fantastic spot to enjoy a meal, unwind, and engage in great conversation! The food is top-notch! Michael is an outstanding grill master who makes you feel right at home, even if you're visiting from another state—in my case, Ohio. He also shares fascinating bits of Chicago's history, which adds to the experience. Overall, it was a wonderful visit!

De Michael makes all of the sandwiches himself. Very friendly and welcoming guy. I really enjoyed his bread suggestion for my Tuna sandwich. Fresh, toasted French bread, includes giardiniera. Very satisfying, and filling sandwich at a normal price. Available all day. I'm happy to give more business to De Michael.

The food is of excellent quality and the owner is extremely pleasant. There's a wonderful selection of beverages, snacks and grocery items that you wouldn't expect to find. Overall, both times I've visited, I have been very satisfied with my purchases.
