Dong Bei Ren Jia - Chicago

I received very poor service at this restaurant. The waitress did not even greet me. When I tried to ask a question about a dish on the menu, she rudely told me it was sold out, even though I could see it was available. She seemed unwilling to assist me in placing my order on the screen.

On Saturday. the load opens only after 10 o'clock – workers had a bad attitude when I asked how long I had to wait for my food.

The service is quick, and the staff is friendly. I ordered the roast beef. The outer layer was perfectly crispy and soft, and the meat inside was tender and flavorful, not tasting like traditional roast beef.

The food is served quickly, and the staff is friendly. I ordered the beef fried buns. The bun was cooked perfectly, with a crispy bottom and soft, plush top. However, the filling was lacking in flavor, bland, and did not taste like beef.

Their water fried bun is one of the best I've had in Chicago. Bread is not overly doughy, tastes fresh, and the fried layer is really addicting. I don't know why it's called water but it's made out of chives and shrimp.*They don't speak English, but have a machine you can use to order and pay. Then you get a text message when it's ready.
