Bidra med feedbackThe spaghetti is the best and the lasagna is stuffed with goodness!! And their specials are nothing to joke about. BOGO specials.
A little small Italian restaurant. I was excited to try this place. The Calamari was great. My Sunday sauce entree was under cooked, it had to be returned to the kitchen, pasta was raw. The Italian Pork Chop was a bit dry. Overall the service was ok. Not sure if I would return.
I gave a review on Grubhub with one star- I was incorrect. I spoke to the restaurant and they were beyond and above gracious as we had an issue with our order. They offered to resend the order and I declined. They called me back and offered a very nice refund and a discount on my next order. Their food is delicious and I appreciate amazing customer service which I received! I wish I could revise my rating and hope this helps! They were kind and I will be a returned customer!
Finally found the old school Italian restaurant we were looking for. When we walked in at first I was taken aback as it looked like a carry out pizzeria. However we were seated and given dinner menus as expected when we made the reservations. Entrees come with soup or salad, Italian bread and butter. The bread was fresh and delicious. Soup was either spinach or minestrone we chose salad which was fine. I got the lasagna with meat sauce which was delicious and huge. Husband got the gnocchi with marinara and had them add sausage. He loved it I 'm not big on gnocchi and thought that this version was too gummy but he was very happy with it. I got a glass of reisling and he got a peroni. Bill was about $75 total. Would return.
Really good Italian food in the Windy City! The mussels valaroso was my main dish but I also had a slice of veggie pizza (mushrooms and onions) and bread. The bread was great for dipping in the tomato sauce. Everything was tasty, although my dish was a bit too salty for my taste. I think the sauce, rather than the mussels, was the salty culprit. I'd request less salt were I to order it again. I heard the cioppino was spicy from my relatives who had it. We had it delivered so can't comment on the service or ambience. Would definitely dine in or carry out next time I'm in Chicago, as they have an extensive menu with lots of tasty options!
