I really enjoyed the tofu noodle bowl; it was fantastic! I wish there were restaurants like this in my neighborhood.

Great place for a quick lunch! The honey grilled pork banh mi had tender meat and excellent flavor. Although the line was long during lunchtime, it moved fairly quickly.

As for the meat, it’s already cooked and served in lukewarm broth. That’s not how it should be! I understand this is a quick take on pho, but pho itself is already pretty fast to prepare. Just pour some flavorful broth over thin slices of raw meat to cook it perfectly medium. This restaurant isn’t doing that. Instead, you’re left with overcooked beef floating in lukewarm broth. Now let’s talk about the banh mi. COLESLAW AND VINEGAR IN A BANH MI?!?! I get wanting to be creative, but that’s just some Americanized nonsense. This is not the real deal. If you’re someone who doesn’t know any better, go ahead and eat here, but don’t call this pho. If you want a soulless version of pho, then enjoy it, but it’s not what it should be. Thank you for listening to my thoughts. In summary: Authenticity? None. Soul? Nonexistent. Atmosphere? Just a rushed, yuppie vibe. Sorry, but once again, this place is not it.

I've been eating lunch at Lotus Banh Mi for a few years now and can't believe I haven't reviewed until now. It's definitely the spot for pho during the winter, when the line can be to the door. Their banh mi are also pretty great, especially the warm and chewy french roll. The service is always friendly and quick. Overall, this is a great lunch spot in the Loop.
