Lulu's Hot Dogs - Chicago

This quickly became one of my favorite classic Chicago restaurants. They serve delicious hot dogs and burgers with a side of playful banter.

Old schoool ribs. Not too saucy. Tender, flavorful meat that didn't taste like cardboard. Friendly, polite and efficient.

The prices at this restaurant are unbelievably affordable for the quality of food you receive! The staff is extremely friendly, and we were able to enjoy a meal of two all-beef hotdogs, a jumbo chili cheese burger, all served with fries, and two large drinks for less than $20 for my boyfriend and me. We will definitely be returning! The convenience of having their own parking lot was also a nice touch.

I ordered two items at the restaurant. One was a Polish sausage with sport peppers, mustard, and raw onions. The second item was a Tom Tom tamale. However, I received a Polish sausage with relish instead of sport peppers, and a cheap Supreme tamale wrapped in a yellow plastic wrapper instead of the advertised Tom Tom tamale. This marks the third time my order has been incorrect, and I have decided that this will be my last visit to this restaurant.

This is a good place for a quick bit to eat and classical American foods. I enjoy the gyros and the hot dog special. You get what you pay for. The owners are really cool and remember their customers. I go here for the personalities much more than thefood. These are old school Chicagoans and are staple of the neighborhood.
