Margeaux Brasserie - Chicago

The live jazz band added a classy ambiance to the space, and we really enjoyed their performance. This particular band only plays on Sundays, so we look forward to seeing them again. I’ve also heard that other bands perform during the week, which is exciting. We will definitely be returning, as we loved the food, the attentive service, and the delightful atmosphere of this cozy, stylish restaurant.

We really appreciated the live music and the overall atmosphere. The food was quite tasty too. The service was a bit slow, but I suppose it was a busy time.

Update: It seems they've streamlined their menu since my last visit. They now offer only four main dishes and have removed the crème brûlée from the dessert menu. Additionally, the wood-fired oven options are no longer available. The burger I ordered from the new menu was disappointing; both my partner and I found it overwhelmingly charred. He ordered his burger medium, initially thinking the taste came from the cheese he tried for the first time. However, after trying my burger, he realized we both had the same problem, and it wasn't the cheese. By the way, the duck fat fries also vary in flavor; sometimes they have a strong duck fat taste, while other times they just taste like regular fries, which is unfortunate. On the good days, they’re fantastic, but on off days, they just have a hint of duck fat. I’m not sure if they lost a chef or something, but I really miss the old menu. My partner had a burger at this place before that was much better than what we experienced recently, so I’m not sure what changed.

Great food and amazing selection of drinks. Staff is super friendly and very attentive. I will definitely be coming back, loved the ambiance.

I dined here for the Chicago Restaurant week. This restaurant located on 3rd floor, and seemed change its name, no more “Margaux” but to “The Brasserie”. We enjoyed our$55 pre-fixed dinner menu,which was really good.I especially liked the onion gratin soup. Also their service was superb... We’d like to come back soon.
