Pearl Brasserie - Chicago

My son and I met for dinner at Pearl Brasserie last week and were delighted.

Came here for a business lunch and I must admit, the reviews had me a little worried, but I am glad I went and experienced it for myself and I must admit it

This used to be called Peal TavernIt's by couple of known guys from other restaurants that started thisI had their fries which were good.

I've loved this restaurant every time I've been there, but for downtown food the food was absolutely terrible. All three of us hated the food, and it is unfortunate that I was highly regarded in the past and was able to serve such terrible food. Very disappointing and a huge waste of money and time.

Went for Downtown Dining Week. This restaurant was on the $ 35 list but the service was well below that level. There was a long wait between courses, but the plates were not removed from the table until the next course arrived. Our server seemed very uninterested in our table. It also took a long time to get drink orders. New cutlery was not provided and I was specifically asked to remove my fork from the platter so the server could clear the platter. The food was decent to good, but nothing special. Neither of these issues would be as bad if it hadn't happened to all or the restaurant was on the $ 25 list instead.
