Riccardo Osteria - Chicago

I've returned twice, and it just keeps getting better! The staff is incredibly kind and attentive. I can't wait to come back again!

I enjoyed a lovely meal on the patio, which had a very cozy atmosphere. There was an excellent selection of drinks, and the food was fantastic. I tried the stuffed gnocchi and rigatoni, both of which were delicious, along with the peppered beef appetizer. I definitely plan to return!

We came to Riccardo Osteria for our Bachelorette weekend dinner. Everyone at the restaurant was easy to work with and accommodating. They were able to seat our party of 9 with ease. Our waitress provided recommendations on how and what to order based on our party size. Affordable prices really good food. Indoor and outdoor seating with open windows throughout made for great ambiance and breeze.

We had the veal Parmesan and chicken Parmesan. Portions were large and the crust/breading was really outstanding. We had the Caprese with the heirloom tomatoes. Carpaccio Was well proportioned and also excellent. Wine by the glass seem to be over priced.

I've been a loyal patron of Riccardo Enoteca for over 18 years, so I was shocked to encounter such a decline in both food and service on my recent visit. I won't be returning. The fava beans were overcooked, and there was no hint of truffle as promised. The wild mushroom risotto came out cold and resembled mushy oatmeal. The tortelloni was tasteless and dry, clearly not homemade. The service was nearly non-existent—no one checked in on us or refilled our water, and the noise level was so high that it was impossible to have a conversation. For over $150 for dinner for two, this experience was incredibly disappointing, and I won't be coming back.
