Velvet Taco - Chicago

Visited on an afternoon in January 2018. We were a group of 4 and of course this isn't a sit down joint. So we just ordered a bunch of tacos and ate there in a corner. We had a bunch of hard shell tacos and I'd recommend checking them out.<br/ <br/ Must Try:<br/ Chicken Tikka Taco<br/ Beef Brisket Taco

Best tacos ever!<br/ <br/ I was so happy this place was right next door to our hotel. Shrimp n grits taco, chicken n waffle tacos, also great for breakfast!

Food:<br/ Tried various kinds of tacos and absolutely loved them.<br/ Highlights were the shrimp falafel ones.<br/ Delicious delicious.<br/ <br/ Ambience: <br/ Fun busy joint. I adore how they’ve done their walls.<br/ <br/ Service:<br/ Self service is best bro.<br/ <br/ Value for money:<br/ Super chill on pockets !

Had heard a lot about this place, so we went and tried. Trust me, it’s a celebration in your mouth with every bite! The Chicken tikka masala taco was the winner for me. Be prepared for long queue as this is a place where everyone wants to eat!

Velvet Taco in Chicago is one of those new fangled taco joint that have sprung up selling tacos that are a little bit different, a little bit funky or as they describe themselves ‘Tacos without Borders’. I came along to check them out mainly as I had seem some pretty interesting and unexpected combinations such as ‘Spicy Tikka Chicken’, ‘Nashville Tofu’, and ‘Shrimp and Grits’ listed on their menu.
