Cozy, hidden gem of a traditional pub. The staff are incredibly welcoming and engaging. It’s very peaceful, perhaps due to its location or the time of day. Price per person: £10–20. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 4/5. Parking: Ample parking available with free parking lot options.

Three of us stopped by the Royal Oak on our way back from Goodwood Revival after discovering the pub on Google Maps. My brother and I each had the steak, which was nicely tender, while my sister-in-law enjoyed the mushroom pie and described it as delicious. We also struck up a conversation with a few friendly locals who had an adorable puppy. The landlord and staff were very welcoming, making us feel right at home. We will definitely return, as it's a fantastic area for walking. The total cost for the three of us was between £90 and £100.
