Horizons - Chippewa Falls

When we moved to our table, though, the experience improved significantly. We had a wonderful waitress who provided us with menus, highlighted the specials, brought us drinks, and took our orders promptly. The food was delicious overall, but two of the perch dinners were overcooked and dry. Additionally, the menu did not specify that the perch was ocean perch, which was disappointing since I was expecting lake perch. In summary, it was a good experience overall, and we plan to return to give it another try.

The restaurant has a charming small-town vibe, and the service was excellent with very friendly staff. I ordered a salad, but it was nearly inedible due to the excessive amount of dressing. However, everyone else in my party enjoyed their meals.

I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit. I went specifically for the broasted chicken wings, which I've always enjoyed, but last night was a different story. The service was quite poor, a trend I've noticed for some time, but I was willing to overlook it if the food was good. However, we waited over an hour for our meal, and I can only imagine how long it would take if the restaurant were busy. When the wings finally arrived, they were far from satisfactory. They were dry, lacking flavor, and I couldn't shake the feeling that they might have been made from leftover chicken. Additionally, I noticed that the Sunday chicken dinners no longer come with a salad. I doubt I'll be returning anytime soon.

Went in on a Saturday night, not a particularly busy one, and received terrible service from the bartender. She wasn't willing to even keep an eye out for drinks that were empty, pushed up to the edge of the bar for ten minutes. Had money out to pay the tab for at least ten to fifteen more minutes before she would even come over. Decent food, but service ruined it. I understand having to wait if the server is busy or has other priorities, but this wasn't the case here. Simply bad inattentive service.

Worst experience of my life. Service very slow and took over 50 minutes to get our food, mind you there were only 3 tables. I ordered the beef tenderloin cooked to medium. It was so over cooked and I personally don't like leather. They then tried to recook another one (in 2 to 3 minutes) No less. Well guess what it was still raw. When I questioned the waitress she said that there chef wasn't there. Who the hell was cooking my food then? The third time was half why edible but by now my husband has already finished his food. To top it of our waitress was the manager and she was rude and argumentative and thought she was doing us a favor by saying that she would pay for my meal. We have been to horizons for special events but this is the first time that we've ever gone there for supper and I cannot say enough that I would never recommend them not only due to food but the rudeness I think was even worst.
