Quaint little pub with great atmosphere located near the Anglezarke Reservoir. The pub has outside seating, lovely in a warm sunny day. Friendly service and great quality

Lovely countryside pub near Bolton. Food and service were excellent. Would recommend a visit if you are ever in the area.

Fantastic food last night at The Yew Tree. Where else can you go with your dog, dressed in anything from shorts and a t-shirt to trousers shirt and jacket and get top cooking in a casual and friendly countryside setting..? I never get tired of the views, the setting is amazing and the old building is full of character. The staff are great, there’s always decent folk in, also often with well behaved dogs in the bar. The beer is good and local, there’s lots of gin and the choice of whiskies is good. The new menu is a winner, especially the braised lamb with roasted aubergine, hummus and harissa. It was 10/10 and amazing. Top tip, have three courses, it’s how the portion sizes are designed. You’ll be hungry if you just have a main and probably a little miffed at what you’ve just spent to not be full up. But have the lot and it’s perfect. I’m a fussy sod and have pretty high expectations but the place, people, food and drink were excellent thanks to Olivia, George team.
