Bidra med feedbackDespite a great location, this restaurant needs an urgent and serious investment. The place is old, unkept and the kit chain air extractors do not work. The food is too expensive for what you get. I have after... the order of seafood spaghetti... the scalopp had sand in it!! Do not waste your time or money there
I'm an easy 5star giver. But this was just too bad. Yesturday (Nov 9, 2017) I celebrated my 1st anniversary. We went to El Salto del Fraile for the first time. Everything went wrong. 1. It was so too away and dark. I thought the...taxi was going to rob us. 2. It's expensive. Yeah, whatever, I'll pay anything for an anniversary, but for the price, the meat was not tender, the total opposite, actually; and I was listening to the RADIO!... WTF for such a famous restaurant...the radio?! COme on! I was expecting soft live music. 3. It looks like it needs remodeling. The view is beautiful, but the furniture and walls look warn-out. 4. To top it all of, there was a long hair on my food. Not going back. We paid a lot for the experience. Just a one-time-goer.
We attended a small (about about 20 people lunch after a wedding. The place was empty except for us to be expected at 11:30 am on a Thursday! The food was average, and seemed a bit overpriced. The staff was very nice and accommodating....The friar who played the role jumped off the cliff into the ocean (yes he really did! was entertaining, though as a non Spanish speaker we couldn 't understand the story. Beautiful views from the dining area, as well as access to the ocean front.
The location was very impressive. The food was very good. We had our wedding here. A few things didn't go as we wanted but El Salto Del Fraile has resolved these issues in a good way.
Great location, horrible state of the building and furniture. Form a distance the place looks lovely, but the closer you get the more it looks like an abandoned ghost house. Inside it really look hidious, just so bad.
