Sura Teppanyaki - Christchurch

I am more of an appetizers fan at most Japanese Place. The Takoyaki Gyoza are just too good. For mains we got the Chicken Teppanyaki (A-la-carte). It came with some stir-fried veggies, steamed rice miso soup. Very flavourful and filling. Amazing for a rainy day like today.

Food was delicious and filling. Exceptional service! Most attentive, friendly, and helpful staffs. Professional and very talented chefs. Amazing taste in music!! Overall a wonderful experience.

Do not waste your money! I placed take away order for sushi. In the container, there were 10 pieces of sushi but cost me $32. The rice was VERY dry so it was difficult to chew. It seems that the sushi was rolled ages ago. When picking up my order, there were only 2 tables with customers at 6:30 pm. It obviously show the quality of the restaurant. It wasn’t value for what I paid for including traveling.

Great teppanyaki. They forgot a disk in the main meal.

An extremely disorganized, muddled team of staff who didn't seem to have a clue how to serve people or communicate with one another. We ended having to leave to get our son dinner elsewhere after waiting over half an hour for fried rice which never came!! We also had the pleasure of being charged full price for our own meals which we didn't even complete . Given the economy, you would seriously think you would put more value into the service you are providing your customers!
