Yoku. Sake Yakitori - Christchurch

Hands down one of the best Japanese in the country! The salmon and white fish Sashimi was so fresh and delicious so much so that we ordered another dish as dessert. Service is outstanding. Friendly staff who go the extra mile. Great atmosphere and well spaced out tables. Having just moved from Auckland this will be at the top of my regular list. Even fur babies are allowed. Thanks team Bar Yoku!

Loved my first dining experience at Bar Yoku. The service was friendly and engaging. We had the soft shell sushi tacos DELISH!! We also shared the Sashimi Platter the best I’ve had in Christchurch. The fish was fresh ! We had the Tofu salad to share loved the dressing. So yummy . Then we had to have the charcoal skewers the prawns were tasty , loved the mayo dressing wasabi maybe? Can’t wait to return !! Only tiny Croatian is no chairs with back support for us oldies

This was my first time dining here and I was extremely impressed. The food was outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious options. We tried a variety of dishes and each one was excellent. The drink selection was impressive and the ones we tried were delightful. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. We will definitely be returning in the future. The only downside was that it was a bit noisy, but that's just a minor complaint.

Why have I not been here earlier! The place is awesome, nestled in the Welder and all its greeny goodness, Bar Yoku is a real Japanese treat. We ordered a bunch of really diverse dishes (easy to do) and they were all fantastic. Everything was well prepared, looked great on the plate and tasted amazing. Service was friendly and attentive, and by the time we left the place was heaving. So best to book ahead me thinks. Thanks Team Bar Yoku, we had a blast!

Fantastic Japanese food and brilliant service. We all loved it and we're quite a picky bunch (elderly mother, vegetarian, teenagers... . One of the best cocktails I've had. We'll definitely be back..
