Bidra med feedbackI had Miller? Grocery offers a 50th anniversary celebration. The food was great and cheap. All shaved over beef tips, potatoes and Mac-n cheese. Annette was easy to work and made sure everything was perfect. Will Miller use food for all the needs of my gastronomy.
The restaurant offers generous portions of hearty country cuisine in a charming setting reminiscent of an old grocery store. The desserts are outstanding, and the service has been very good. However, I should note that in the past two months, new management has taken over. Unfortunately, the service has declined, and the food is no longer as delicious or well-prepared as it used to be.
On this particular night, my food arrived before my friend's, so I had to wait for her to get her meal. Eventually, the server checked in and said he'd find out where her order was. I also asked him to bring honey mustard and mentioned that I didn't have a roll on my plate. When he returned with my friend's meal, I reminded him about the honey mustard and the missing roll, but they never arrived, and I didn't ask again. By the time my meal was served, it had sat on the table for 20 minutes and was cold. Additionally, prices have increased, but portion sizes have shrunk. I used to love the frozen fruit salad, which would come in a regular bowl, but now it arrives in a tiny cup, barely enough for a couple of bites. I received only five corn nuggets while my friend got a whole bowl. There was a lack of consistency in the servings. If I had known about the smaller portions for other side dishes, I would have made a different choice. So, without the roll and with very few sides, I ended up paying $15 for just cold meat. While the country roasted steak had good flavor, the fact that it was cold made it disappointing. It used to be bustling, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, but on this occasion and the last, the restaurant was far from full. We didn't even have to wait for a table, which would have been unheard of at 6:30 PM on a Friday before. I noticed a large party near us that also didn't receive some of their orders, and they looked frustrated. It didn't seem like the staff was overwhelmed, as there weren't many customers, yet people were leaving food on their plates, clearly unhappy. It's quite a journey for us to come here, and to see such a decline is disheartening. This place used to be exceptional, and I always recommended it to others. However, unless something changes, I no longer feel inclined to recommend it or return. It's truly disappointing to witness such a noticeable drop in quality, especially for a place that was once legendary.
Despite my first impression, this place is a jewel. Hidden by Rt 231. Beautiful homemade meals with generous portions. Some kind of dishes here. Many homemade desrts
The sides were spectacular, and if I went again I would get the veggie plate. The sweet tea was plenty superb! However, I was dissatisfied with the chicken tenders and macaroni. The macaroni was not all that good, but the chicken tenders were pretty good. My problem with the chicken tenders was that they were small and I didn?t get as many as I thought I would. Everything else was really good ?
