La Tortillita Mexican - Cibolo

We had an excellent dining experience with delicious food, and the waitstaff were fantastic! Diana, our server, was outstanding and ensured we got exactly what we wanted. I’ll label the dishes after I upload these photos. I’m visiting my cousin in San Antonio while looking for a place to buy in Texas. I asked another waitress, Eva, if they served sopapillas, and she confirmed they do. I mentioned that our guests—grandma and her 6-year-old granddaughter—were visiting from Kansas. Eva went above and beyond by asking the chef to prepare a special treat for the little girl. The sopapillas were cut into bite-sized pieces, served on foil with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and honey was provided in a small container for dipping. They also gave us a bowl of honey with a spoon so we could join in the fun of this delightful dessert, along with a bowl of perfectly blended cinnamon and sugar. Everything was absolutely delicious! They even prepare the gorditas in traditional Mexican style, which I loved. The salsa was tasty, not too spicy, and the chips were warm. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience, and I’m grateful for the exceptional waitstaff. Thank you so much! I highly recommend this restaurant. This charming little hidden gem of a restaurant offers delicious food, excellent adult beverages, and friendly customer service. Despite being short-staffed, the team performed remarkably well. The interior ambiance is clean and cozy, and while there are no windows, this actually enhances the decor.

I wasn't given the option to choose how my eggs were cooked, and I ended up with undercooked scrambled eggs, which was unpleasant. Additionally, my meal didn’t come with tortillas, which has never happened to me before. I won’t be returning to this restaurant.

First visit here. My party had about 25 people. They took our reservations and provided great service and food. I had the chicken tortilla soup. Great flavor with shredded chicken, cheese, carrots, and avocado slices. It's pretty spacious inside and at the entrance they have quite a few toy vending machines. Pretty neat! Pretty great first experience. We will back for sure!
