Hook Fish Chicken - Cincinnati

I believe this place has an acquired taste. I expected it to rival Ritchies, especially since the line was so long and Ritchies was closed, but it just lacked basic flavors like salt and pepper, and it needed a little more creativity. The food was fried, and that was about it—the rest is up to you to add some flavor.

I'm from Tennessee, and my cousins brought me to this Hooks location. The frying oil is incredibly fresh, the catfish is golden and crispy, and the desserts are homemade! They were also kind enough to cater the meal after my uncle's funeral last year. These three gentlemen have a remarkable ability to cook food to order while also being very personable. If you ever decide to come to the greater Nashville area... just putting it out there! I highly recommend visiting this Hooks location!

The food here is absolutely amazing! Don’t hesitate for a second; it will satisfy your hunger, and you’ll enjoy every single bite. The staff is incredibly friendly, too!
