Maverick Chocolate Company - Cincinnati

Recommended to me by my friends. The best chocolate (and warm chocolate drink ? I had in Cincinnati!I like the idea that you can come and try different small pieces of different types of chocolate produced by them, and the taste reminds me of European chocolate so much. ??

I never go to Cinci without stopping here. Incredible chocolate from all around the world. Bean-to-bar shops are so rare, and Maverick is one of the best!

Amazing chocolate! Really unique place. I love taking out of town visitors here for a taste of Cincinnati. I really love the aviation theme and the 'remove before flight ' tag on the back of the chocolate. I highly recommend the seasonal orange chocolate and the Madagascar chocolate (tastes like strawberries . The chocolate bars make for really great gifts for chocolate lovers as well. In the summer time they have frozen hot chocolate. And in the winter time they have hot drinking chocolate (European style which is a great hot drink to keep you warm as you walk around Findley Market. Very happy to have a place like this in town :

They have the BEST chocolate in Ohio. I am a huge fan of dark chocolate, so I love their Belize 70%. It tastes so natural and delicious. I love how they have samples in the store.

A must try if you are ever in the area (or visiting Findlay Market). Staff allows you to sample the chocolate before purchase you can really tell the care they put into their product. Left with a Vietnam/75% and a Belize/70%, which are both wonderful. Both were very rich in flavor and had their own distinguishable notes. They were supposed to be souvenirs, but I couldn't stop snacking on them... Really wished I had bought more, so I'm glad they have an online shop! The fact that they ethically source their cacao is a huge cherry on top as well.
