The Eagle - Cincinnati

Food arrived luke warm. The fired chicken was soggy (at best) and a far cry from the crispy fried chicken served in years past. Service was poor: asked for ketchup and then 5 minutes later had to ask a different server; who did bring some over. Given the bill long before we were even close to being done I guess a second drink or desert weren't options.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. John, our waiter was awesome!!

Reservation saved us waiting 45 minutes for a table. Table was ready for us when we arrived which was really nice considering the number of people waiting. Fried chicken and Mac n cheese did not disappoint. Third time visiting, food is consistently good. Service felt a bit rushed but, given the demand for seating, I understand.

It’s really hard not to come away disappointed when a signature item like the glazed bacon appetizer has been pulled from the menu.It was so much a part of the overall experience, and its absence costs The Eagle too much of what made it special. It’s no longer a destination restaurant.

Best fried chicken. Good appetizers. Salad was OK. Waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu but a bit in a rush (started telling us about the menu even before we sat).No desserts available in the menu.
