Bidra med feedbackI was very pleased with my service. Bartender Jennie was sweet and suggestive. The duck wings AMAZINGGGGGG. I will be back with all of my friends and family. Thanks for providing a great environment for my scheduled alone time.
Our first time here. We were not disappointed. Food was perfect, service was awesome. Only real complaint is we were seated next to the piano player but he was good! Just made it hard to talk. But compared to some of the high end steak houses I have been to in NYC this place does great. I have a dairy allergy and the chef made my food delicious without the butter, which is tough to do sometimes. I give it a 9.5/10
We just celebrated our 31st anniversary at 677 Prime, and as usual it was fantastic. The excellent service starts the moment you enter the door and continues all through out the dinner. The food was amazing, and cooked to perfection. This was our 3rd anniversary in a row that we have spent at 677 Prime. There is no reason to go anywhere else! The only issues is the cost, but it's worth it for a special occasion.
I do not like writing negative reviews, however when a restaurant is charging prices as high or higher than the best New York City steakhouses, something must be said. I had the cowboy ribeye. It was possibly the worst steak I have ever had in a restaurant. The quality of the meat was terrible incredibly tough and tasteless. There is absolutely no excuse for that, with what this restaurant is charging. I also had the Caesar salad, which again was probably the worst I have ever had. The dressing was sour and the taste made it almost inedible. On a positive note the service was excellent as was the ambiance.
677 labels itself as a fine dining experience. We have been here in the past and it was a fine dining experience. However, our recent visit was not so fine. I started with lobster bisque and my dining companion had the wagyu beef tartare. I have had lobster bisque in many fine dining restaurants and can usually find some lobster in the serving even if just a garnish. Not this time. The wagyu beef was served with toast slices that were very thick, not slices of a nice baguette. A rough start but the entree was next. We both ordered veal wellington listed on the menu as a specialty . It is very hard to find wellington on any many so we thought this would be a real special dish. Not on this evening. Both portions were cool to the touch on arrival and the sauce served on the side was barely warm. We informed the manager, she apologized and took both plates back to the kitchen. Our plates were returned to us warm to the touch, the veal had not been overcooked which could have happened during the warm up and the sauce was hot. Unfortunately, the pastry was very thick and the wild mushroom and truffle duxelles, foie gras mousse and prosciutto were hard to see and taste. This dish is $59.00. We don 't object to the cost when the item we order meets reasonable expectations such as arriving hot to the table and being able to taste the ingredients advertised on the menu. It should be noted that our server, Jonathan, was very gracious and respectful during this incident. However, we have decided that we will be looking elsewhere for a fine dining experience.
