El Vino The Olde Wine Shades

The food at this restaurant was fantastic. We went as a big group for our Christmas lunch and enjoyed all the traditional dishes. The gravlax was especially tasty and the turkey was cooked just right. The service we received was excellent - the staff were helpful, attentive, and friendly. The atmosphere of the old, traditional City location was just right. Thank you.

Hidden away but well-known for a reason! This charming little place may be a bit pricey, especially the food, and sometimes we wish there was more seating. However, the staff are always friendly and incredibly helpful. They go above and beyond, willing to rearrange tables and chairs to accommodate us, clean up outside areas affected by rain, and always have a cheerful, helpful attitude. Their customer service is exceptional, making the extra expense worth it. A truly enjoyable experience that we highly recommend and will definitely come back for!

During a rainy day, my husband searched for the nearest pubs to tube stops and stumbled upon El Vino The Olde Wine Shades. Despite the busy after-work atmosphere, we were promptly seated at a small table. Maxine greeted us and informed us about their Italian wine promotion, which had an excellent selection. Throughout the evening, she shared interesting tidbits about the historic location, the oldest wine pub in London. Maxine made our visit personal and unforgettable. The pub offers a great variety of wine and beer, and the area is filled with beautiful historical sites to explore. Don't miss out on this spot for a true taste of London.

Hello we took 2 champagnes and 1 portion of peanuts 27£ place is nice but price fully wrong and by the way bottle was also not freshly opened in our opinion. Lady was nice but fact is : poor product, high cost.

Daniele is a wonderful manager at the wineshades. We’ve been here a few time’s at the beginning of 2020. Service is impeccable and highly recommend the food and drink. The customer service is lovely and and the staff understand the meaning of world class customer service.
