Bidra med feedbackI cannot emphasise how good the food is here. The lamb curry and rice is to die for. They season their rice with cardamom that just adds to the flavour of it. Eating at Kitchen Grill is eating at home away fromhome. The food feels healthy and made with love!
I am going to be completely honest and say that I have never really ordered Indian food before. I've had some dishes here and there, but never really ordered on my own. I have always wanted to try, but it's a bit intimidating trying a new cuisine and spending a lot of money on it, if you don't end up liking it. I received Kitchen Grill's menu at my apartment and saw the $20 special and decided this was the perfect opportunity. I am so glad I did. For my appetizer, I had the chicken soup, and for my entree I had the chicken tikka masala. I also added an order of the chicken tikka appetizer. I'd say the delivery took about 40 minutes, and everything was piping hot. It was also raining outside, yet nothing was cold. I was impressed on that alone (they have their own delivery drivers, not GrubHubs).I don't have the best frame of reference, but the food was so flavorful and delicious. The chicken soup was everything I needed and more (I had been feeling a bit under the weather). The chicken tikka masala was creamy and had a lot of chicken. I paid the extra $1 for the garlic naan and it was fluffy, but also had great char. Everything was spiced so well and I had to actively stop myself from eating because I was so full, yet wanted more. The proportions were also quite big, and I have another full meal from my one order. For the pricing, quality and proportions of food, this place is a must try. I can't wait to order again and try new things. Thanks, Kitchen Grill! (I don't have any pictures because I was too hungry and couldn't wait to try)
Wow. I'm honestly shocked at how bad the food was. I ordered delivery, if that's relevant, and while the delivery was fast and the delivery man was really nice, this is hands down the worst Indian food I've ever had. Indian food is my favorite cuisine too. I ordered chicken tikka masala and naan. The naan was soggy and a little too elastic, but it was okay. The chicken tikka masala was terrible. It was like eating unseasoned chicken in a sugar-water sauce. Seriously, I've had Indian food that's too sweet before, but never even close to how sweet this was. No tang, no deep spice flavors, and I could actually taste how unseasoned the chicken was. The curry was also super thin and watery. I've never had curry that watery. It tasted like a white person's version of an Indian recipe with no traditional techniques. No idea who cooked this, but it was very sad and disappointing.
Sub standard Indian fare, we through out most of our food it was so bad! We had the veg korma (drowning in butter, hardly any seasoning) and our veg samosas and had the papadam :
We ordered naans onion and garlic) and roti tandoori) for takeout and were pretty disappointed; we're Indian so have experience and standards and the naans were too thick, and without much flavor. The samosas were okay but nothing to write home about. They did charge for pickle/achar and overall found it pricey for what we got $47 for 6 naans/rotis, side of rice, and 4 samosas total)
