Sugar Hill Cafe - City of New York

I really enjoyed the music, food coffee latte). The barista Ty was friendly very good at taking my order I got the BTrain breakfast sandwich). It's so nice to see hear staff greet everyone that comes through the door!! I encourage everyone to support local businesses especially this one! Easy to get to by train bus.

Disheartening Experience at Sugar Hill Cafe I am deeply disappointed by the cashier services at Sugar Hill Cafe. The cashier's rude behavior made me feel unwelcome, uncomfortable, and rushed during my visit. I only ordered a coffee to avoid further unpleasantness. The discrimination I felt was disheartening. Management should take this matter seriously and address it promptly. Such behavior tarnishes the cafe's reputation and is unacceptable. I will report this to the Better Business Bureau and hope others are aware before visiting. Overall, I had a regrettable experience, and I urge the cafe to foster a more inclusive and respectful environment for all customers.

Great vibe and great food! Highly recommend the French Toast, it was crunchy and so delicious. The eggs Benedict and the mimosas were great too. The coffee was nice and strong and the baristas were amazing. It was also not packed on a Saturday at 1:00pm.

Decent food and nice cafe but totally unpredictable. Went in for brunch on a Sunday at 11am and was told the kitchen was closed indefinitely because the cook needed a break. Understandable and I can definitely synpathize, but very strange that they will shut down entirely during a busy brunch with no warning or estimated wait time. I do not blame the staff for this issue whatsoever; it points to a deeply dysfunctional business desperately in need of competent management. I hope they get things sorted out because I want to like this place.

I’m only giving 3 stars because the cashier had an attitude and made me feel rushed, so the first drink I ordered was horrible. I ended up paying another $5 for another coffee. The French toast were actually pretty good considering I don’t care for French toast. Overall 3/4!
