La Papa - Ciudad de Panama

Wonderful delicious food and wonderful service. We visited both locations in Panama. The one in the town center mall is vibrant, and the one in Bellavista is quiet. Both have the same menu and the same great food. This is a family business owned and operated by three sisters and a brother who have locations in Panama and in Colombia. We had visited the one in Cali, Colombia before and the food was wonderful. Now we had the opportunity to visit the location in Panamá in this vacation. They maintain the highest quality of service. Before leaving at noon we had the food deliver to our hotel. I ordered the baby beef and my wife ordered the corvina with Israeli salad. Delicious!!! I recommend this place highly.

Ordered BBQ ribs to go and they were delicious! Moist, tender and with delicious sauce. The Baked Potato’s with extra butter and sour cream were big and not over cooked.

We visited La Papa early in the evening on an off season Sunday night, so the place wasn't exactly jumping, but our server made us feel welcome, and the food oh, my, the food! We shared several plates including the Picada Mixta, the Panamanian Ceviche, and the Cascaritas. The Picada Mixta was the highlight of the meal, with small portions of several of their different appetizers. Grilled beef and sausage, small columbian potato empanadas, tostones, and fried cassava. This platter was a tremendous value at just $19, and everything was perfect. The ceviche rivaled much more expensive versions I've had in much fancier restaurants, and the cascaritas were better than any American potato skins you've ever had. This place deserves to have a big crowd every night, the staff is excellent, and the food is on point. We'll be back!

It has been a few years since we went to Panama, and my daughters were excited not only to visit the city again but because the get to eat at this restaurant agsin. The food here is amazing and the service is extremely good. I went there with my daughters and my very picky wife several times And the consistency of the food and the experience is awesome. I recommend’s restaurant to anybody with small kids, large groups, I also took somebody there for a business meeting and they loved it

After checking in to the Marriott Executive Apartments we walked around the neighborhood and stopped into La Papa. Everything we ordered was delicious. The Azul salad was fresh and the Corvino fish was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. Even better was the service. Everyone was friendly. We plan to go back frequently while in Panama City.
