Homemade Ice Cream Pie Kitchen

You haven't beaten a cream on your coconut cream bee, it's just on the cake now. Seeing an employee, eating while making cakes. It won't be back.

Just about everything we've tried from here has been delicious. Some of the cakes do have a bit of artificial flavor (such as the strawberry), but the yellow cake with chocolate icing is scrumptious. The chocolate silk pie cake is also good.The pies are our favorites. We've tried the chess, double crust apple, coconut cream (my personal fave), cherry, strawberry rhubarb, and pecan. The crust is consistently delicious, as well as the filling--the apples aren't crunchy, nor the cherries too tart, the chess pie is crispy/flaky on top and moist in the middle, etc.This place is popular and busy, so we generally do takeout.

I'm stuck between 3 and 4 stars. But I'm feeling generous, so rounding up to 4!The variety of pies here is wild you will find something for everyone. The ice cream flavors are also quite extensive. Not a fan of either? That's OK, they have cookies, brownies, cake, and plenty of other baked goods as well.We usually find ourselves coming here after dinner for a dessert. It's usually good, but not great. But still good.However, it's expensive for what you get (I could get an entire pint of ice cream and a whole pie at the Kroger next door for the same price). So the 3.5* comes in here.But it's easy, it's there, it's good, and it's worth the occasional splurge.

The quality of the pies and other baked goods are great, but the problem is getting what you want. There have been too many times when I have gone wanting something specific and them being out and refusing to make more that day. I just called to order something on their menu called banana 4 layer. They once again didn't have any of their pudding or meringue goods and didn't know when they would make any more. That's not the way to run a business.

Pies were pretty good, but service not very friendly. More than $20 for three servings-best saved for a special occasion. You
